The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requires Employers to provide information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of their Employees. There are many other pieces of health and safety legislation that requires Employers to ensure that their Employees and Sub Contractors are trained and competent to carry out the work they undertake.
